Independence, at your own pace
A little more independence.
OffGridScout helps you understand, plan and live with an off-grid setup — from a first weekend place to the small systems that make everyday life work.
The whole picture matters
Power, water, shelter, food, connection and upkeep belong in the same conversation. A choice in one area often changes another. We connect the questions so you can make a plan that fits your place and the way you want to use it.
Useful starting points
This is a new, independent publication with a growing library of introductory guides and a free personal planner. We begin with practical questions and clearly linked sources. We do not claim to have built, visited or tested the places and equipment shown in our illustrative imagery.
How we publish
Our guides distinguish planning ideas from technical requirements. Rules, conditions and equipment vary; installation designs and local permissions need qualified, local advice. Read our editorial and sources policy for how we handle evidence and illustrations.
Built to grow carefully
The foundation is free to use. Selected guides include researched equipment recommendations and ordinary Amazon product links. We may later activate affiliate referrals or introduce paid planning features. If a commercial relationship influences a link or placement, it will be disclosed where you use it. At present, our Amazon links are ordinary links. They do not earn us a commission. Our editorial page explains product selection and corrections.
